What does the PTA do?
Tapteal PTA sponsors and organizes events like Jog-A-Thon, the Scholastic Book Fair, Skate Nights, Goodies for Grandparents, Movie Nights, Talent Show, and Carnival. The money made from those events provides classroom enrichment funds for EVERY class; spirit shirts for EVERY student; Super Hawk awards; author visits and special assemblies; technology for classrooms; extra equipment for the playground; field day events; teacher appreciation events; SBA testing snacks for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students and more.

Who can join Tapteal PTA?
Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, legal guardians, community members, teachers, and school staff. 

Do you have to attend PTA meetings?
No, but we appreciate it when you do! And you can bring the kids along.

Do you have to volunteer to help with events like Jog-A-Thon, Food and Coat Drive, Goodies for Grandparents, Book Fair, Talent Show, Craft Night, yearbook, or Carnival? 
No, but these events can't happen without volunteers! You don't have to hold an office or head a committee to help.  There are lots of small jobs for volunteers and many can be done at home.

For example, can you:

-Spare a few minutes to make some phone calls or send emails?
-Pick up a few extra items on your next trip to Costco or the grocery store?
-Spend an afternoon preparing supplies for Craft Night or prizes for Jog-A-Thon?

If you said yes to any of the above, then you can help the PTA make Tapteal the best it can be!
